The latest release from Rock Patel is stunning and continues his amazing streak of creating winners! This is Rocky’s first box-pressed cigar in the light to medium bodied style, and as such it has created a bit of buzz because of it’s approachability.
The Emerald has an Ecuadorian Habano wrapper draped over dual binders — one from Nicaragua and another from Mexico. The filler is mainly built around Nicaraguan tobacco, with the addition of a single leaf from the Jamastran Valley in Honduras. This combination results in a medium-bodied cigar which offers up an harmonious balance of flavours.
I had the pleasure of meeting the great man in August 2025 and managed to spend around 10 minutes or so with him by myself. He was so enthusiastic about this release, and I can see why, as it is richly flavoured, yet shows elegance and finesse.
