If your hobby is cigars, you will not want to miss out on our near legendary cigar evenings.
Over the last decade or so, we have been treating the Nottingham cigar smoking cognoscenti to some of the most amazing cigars on the planet.
Our cigar evenings are structurally the same irrespective of which event you attend, however, the cigars and brands featured will change every month. Normally, we would taste two cigars on an evening, with the odd one featuring three. There will nearly always be a guest host who will join us on the night and who is, in some way, connected to cigars that we are sampling. They will have the latest information on the brands and be able to give an insight into the history and production of the featured cigars.
Occasionally we may have a cigar maker join us! Now these are quite special evenings and allows you, the paying customer, the opportunity to ask the actual guys who make the cigars questions on a more one to one basis. Over the years we have been blessed to have been joined by the likes of Nick Perdomo, Rocky Patel (Via Zoom) and Robert Caldwell, all of whom were thoroughly entertaining in their own, unique ways.
Which ever type of cigar evening you come along to, our little community of cigar enthusiasts will always make you feel welcome.

The nights may have drawn in and the days have gotten remarkably shorter but that still won’t stop us from sampling cigars! Our October sampling event takes us on a journey through the New World and more specifically the Dominican Republic and Honduras.
We are featuring two absolutely stunning cigars, the first of which is the Macanudo Emissary France Toro (£30.25). This is the second release in the Macanudo Emissary line-up, Emissary France showcases rare and refined French tobacco grown in the Mugron River Valley, nested between Bordeaux and the Spanish border. Nurtured by the Atlantic sea breeze and the regions rich terroir, this tobacco develops distinct notes of salt and dark berries
Cigar No.2 is a firm Favourite of mine, the Pistoff Kristoff 660. The Pistoff Kristoff is a deceptively strong, full flavoured cigar with a notable nutty character, spice, toffee, toast and a long sweet finish. Do not let the smoothness of the cigar fool you; this one packs a punch.
We will be joined by Freddie from Barkers Of Harrogate for his first, fully fledged solo event (he joined us at our Summer Festival), and with his stunning choices of cigar, guarantees that a good night will be had by all.
The evening will be held at the Trent Navigation, Meadow Lane, Nottingham starting at 7pm.
This is the evening you won’t want to miss, as it is our big finale to the 2026 smoking season. For those of you who attended our big Summer festival back in July, you will know what to expect, but for those of you who haven’t been to one of our festivals before, read on.
For our festival events we invite all of our suppliers along to show a cigar of their choice from their portfolios, so the offering can be quite varied in terms of the styles on show. Each supplier then gets 4 minutes to tell you about their chosen cigar. All you have to do is choose which two cigars from the five that you would like to sample. There is a little bit of a competition element between the suppliers as they all want you choose their cigar! There is a third cigar that will be given to you in a different way – more about that on the night!
Places for this event are being capped at 60, so book it now or forever hold your peace!
