The Cigar
Alec Bradley Medium bodied in style than some of the other AB BM’s that I have tried and have a very pleasant streak of sweetness running through them. Still big in terms of flavour, but more rounded around the edges with a lovely spicy undertone.
The Whiksy
The palate is soft with charred Oloroso dried fruit, citrus, treacle and hints of burnt raisin, dark toffee and beeswax. A little bittering tannin and spice comes through and like the nose there isn’t any distillery character evident. Good length with a very spicy finish and lingering cereal and dried fruit.
Finished in first-fill Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez casks, Eden Mill’s Sherry Cask brings deep fruit, dark chocolate and spice. Pair it with the bold, earthy richness of Alec Bradley’s Black Market Estelí and you’ve got a combination that’s indulgent, complex and perfect for slow evenings.
