Gauntleys Sampler Packs – Summer Robustos Quad Pack

Whether you’re relaxing at home in your garden or lying on a beach in the Maldives, there is always time for a cigar or two to while away an afternoon!

Ranging from the lighter end of the flavour spectrum to the more robust end, this pack is ideal for summer smoking. Notes for each of the cigars is listed in order of increase in strength.

La Aurora Principe Robusto Claro (£15.55) – Dominican Republic

A wonderful light to medium-bodied cigar from one of the top producers in the Dominican Republic. They have a very gentle spice to them which lifts the palate somewhat. These represent great value when compared to other brands at a similar price.

Casa Turrent 1973 Robusto (£22.65) – Mexico

Named for the birth year of Alejandro Turrent, this cigar uses a criollo wrapper from San Andres , with a Nicaraguan binder and a filler blend of Criollo San Andres and Nicaraguan tobacco. This creates a medium bodied cigar that is smooth & rich in sweetness which offers notes of dark chocolate and earth with a woody finish.

My Father Don Pepin Garcia Invictus Blue Robusto (£22.80) – Nicaragua

Don ‘Pepin’ Garcia ‘Blue Label’ has served as the inspiration for the creation and development of many other My Father lines. Handmade using 100% Nicaraguan tobaccos, this cigar features an extra-oily cinnamon coloured Corojo Oscuro wrapper and has an average rating of 93 points in Cigar Aficionado magazine. This is a medium-bodied cigar with a unique composition and blend where zesty notes of leather and cedar accompany a medley of hot peppers.

Kristoff Guardrail Robusto (£17.95) – Dominican Republic

This is a richly flavoured medium to full-bodied blend that has lot’s of dark chocolate and spice. This cigar acquired it’s name after Glen Case (owner of Kristoff) was involved in a motorcycle accident when the rear tyre blew-out whilst he was taking a corner at 60 mph. Glen was literally saved by the guardrail that he, and the bike, ended up in. Although quite badly injured, he made a full recovery – that life saving guardrail is honoured by this cigar!
