Gauntleys Cigar Club -St Georges Day Cigar Evening with Foundation Cigars – April 23rd 2026

Our April cigar evening is one that you won’t want to miss as it will be co-hosted by one on the most interesting and talented people in the industry, the Knight Commander himself, George Frakes. Added to that fact, and purely by happenstance on our behalf, it is also St Georges Day – so we have George on St Georges day presenting a cigar evening – it’s going to be a Knight to remember!

George imports the Foundation cigars, the brand created by Nick Melillo. Nick Melillo may not be a name that you are familiar with, but one of the more famous brands that he helped create might possibly be, and that would be Drew Estate, one of the biggest cigar producers on the planet.

I am not going to go into too much detail about Nick’s career, as I will leave that to George, but what I will say is that every single Foundation cigar that I have tried has been stunning with no exceptions.

Our evening will be held at the Trent Navigation, West Bridgford, starting at 7pm. As usual the evening will feature 2 cigars, plus we will have our usual raffle where we will offer up a multitude of prizes. We will be capping the numbers for this event, so my advice to you is to book it now to avoid disappointment!

Although we don’t expect the date of this event to change, if it does we will notify you at the earliest opportunity via e-mail & text. If you find that you can’t attend the new date we will of course offer to move you on to the next available cigar evening. We do advise that you check our website a week or so before the event just to be safe.

If you wish to bring along any non-smoking, non-paying guests you are more than welcome, HOWEVER, it is very important that you check with us on the above number BEFORE ATTENDING. Sometimes space is at a premium and it may not always be possible to have extra people attending, but we will try to accommodate where possible.

If we need to cancel an event for whatever reason we will of course offer to move you on to the next available cigar evening or offer a full refund.
