The Whisky
The Tomintoul 16 Years is a classic Speyside / Glenlivet which is soft and supple with sweet barley and a good dollop of honey, vanilla and subtle dried apricot. A lovely seam of citrus balances the sweetness and the buttery vanilla oak comes through on the middle. The honey and oak notes hold through to the finish where they are joined buy some subtle spice, toffee and heathery notes.
Known as “the gentle dram,” Tomintoul 16yr is smooth and approachable with honey, vanilla, and light oak. When paired with La Aurora’s ADN Robusto — a Dominican cigar enriched with rare Andullo tobacco — you get a marriage of subtle sweetness and deep, earthy complexity.
